The mystery's Island…at the river Adige's mouth

Boat excursion at the mouth of the river Adige, to discover a wild environment which shows off an amazing landscape. Here, land, water and sky blend in a variety of shapes and colors. All is enriched by the presence of a large variety of birds that can be seen getting around the mystery's island.

The "Via delle Valli" by bike

Bike excursion through one of the most beautiful routes of Europe. We start from the cycle route along the river Adige to reach the "Via delle Valli", a road running between lagoons and fish valleys. These unique environments shows an enchanting landscape, here nature and economy coexist and with a bit of fortune we can also take a look to some species of birds.

On request: assistance € 60,00 to share with the group. It is a minibus which follows the group: the minibus is at our disposal for tired people, to carry the bags or to replace the broken or damaged bikes.

Colors and perfumes of the Delta

The Botanical Garden of Porto Caleri is actually an aromatic itinerary. Walking through the paths which run between the pinewood and the sandy dunes covered by the Mediterranean maquis, you will be attracted by the rich vegetation and especially by the perfumes of the many different environments of the Garden. With the help of a guide you will know the typical plants which characterize this part of the Adriatic coast, the only one which has been entirely preserved.

Birdwatching

The Po Delta is one of the most spectacular bird-watching spots of Europe and represents one of the favorite destinations for the "bird-watchers". This excursion is addressed to those who want to know some of the 380 species of birds which are to be seen in the Po Delta. With a guide's help you will plan your itinerary and then you will reach (by your own means) the selected destination ("Via delle Valli", the mouth of the river Adige, the mouths of the river Po, etc…). By using the telescope you can do extraordinary sight seeing and learn how terns, oystercatchers, avocets, shelducks, marsh harriers, hen harriers, etc…. look like. For the lovers of naturalistic photography it is possible to do the "digiscooping".

There, where the river meets the sea Scano Boa: the soul of the Delta

Venue with the guide at the Regional Museum of Reclamation in Ca' Vendramin and short visit. This pump station of the earlier XXth century, was a very important instrument for the transformation of this territory and nowadays it represents an extraordinary example of archeological industry. Transfer (by your own means) to Pila and boarding. With a small boat we will sail through the thick reeds and on the shallow waters of the lagoons until we reach the place where the river meets the sea at Scano Boa, the "soul of the Delta": a thin strip of sand that lies between sky and sea.

The "Bacucco" and the "Island of love"

Venue with the guide at the Regional Museum of Reclamation in Ca' Vendramin and short visit. By your own means you reach Santa Giulia, driving along the "Sacca degli Scardovari". On a boat, where you'll be guided by a fisherman, you start the excursion to discover all the methods and the secrets of fishing. You will sail through the thick reeds of the oasis called "Bacucco" until you reach the "Island of gulls" and then the "Island of love" at the mouths of Po di Goro.

The mouths of Po di Tolle

Venue with the guide at the Regional Museum of Reclamation in Ca' Vendramin and short visit. By your own means you reach Bonelli, driving along the "Sacca degli Scardovari". Here we start the excursion with a fisherman to discover all the secrets of this ancient work. We will sail until we reach the mouths of Po di Tolle, between the reeds and on the shallow waters of the "allagamento" (flooding) where we can take a look to shelducks, herons, ducks and oystercatchers.

One-day tour Between valleys and lagoons

Excursion both by bike and boat to discover the charm of the Po Delta, a land that lies between land and water.

Morning: we start the excursion by bike from Rosolina Mare and we reach the "Via delle Valli", a road running through lagoons and fish valleys. Along this route we will admire an enchanting landscape spotted by "cavane" and "casoni", wonderful examples of the valleys' architecture and testimonies of the ancient fishing traditions. We reach the Albarella's harbour for lunch (lunch is free and can be packed lunch or in a restaurant).

Afternoon: boarding and navigation in the Caleri lagoon, a shallow water expanse where, due to low tide, the "barene" surface and show the typical halophytic vegetation with "salicornia", "limonium" and "aster tripolium" that color the lagoon. Here it is also possible to have a look to a big variety of bird species such as gulls, herons, terns, shelducks, oystercatchers. Disembark in Porto Caleri and return by bike to Rosolina Mare.

Along the routes, there will be an assistance behind you: it is a minibus that follows the group which is at your disposal for tired people, to carry the bags or to replace the broken or damaged bikes.
